ABOUT ME
I am a licensed clinical social worker, LCSW, and use cognitive behavioral therapy to treat individuals, teens, and families. A psychotherapist since 1999, I have provided treatment for a broad range of issues affecting children and families. I am strongly influenced by family systems theory and use this understanding when working with clients. I believe in optimizing client's growth potential through the development of a thoughtful treatment plan based on evidence based practices and client strengths and preferences.

I earned my Master of Social Work graduate degree at the University of Michigan, where my focus of study was psychotherapy with children and families. My post-graduate work concentrated on families in crisis, a setting where I provided intensive therapy and crisis intervention to adolescents and their families. My extensive experience includes therapy and intervention with a wide range of psychiatric conditions as well as overseeing clinical decisions as a supervisor.
I continue to learn and update my work through continuing education and studying new research and evidence based practices. I maintain several professional affiliations through the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the Northern California Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Network (NCCBT), Postpartum Support International (PSI), and the Postpartum Action Institute (PAI).

My license is with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, State of California: #LCSW73493
